Financial Aid Night

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Southwestern Illinois College will be providing general financial aid information. They will then be available to help anyone who needs assistance completing the required FAFSA form online.
If you choose to complete the form online that evening, please bring the following information/documents. You will need information from these documents to complete the FAFSA thoroughly and accurately. If you cannot bring all of the necessary information, bring what you can so that you can complete as much of the form as possible.
- The student's driver's license and social security card. (Or just the numbers.)
- The student's income tax returns, W-2 forms, and 1099 forms for the previous year. (If applicable)
- The parents' income tax returns, W-2 forms, and 1099 forms for the previous year.
- Current bank statements and mortgage information. (Or just the current balances.)
- Records relating to stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other investments. (If applicable)
- Documentation of non-taxable income, such as Social Security income, AFDC, and Veterans Benefits.
- Business and farm records. (If applicable)
- Records relating to any unusual family financial circumstances, such as medical and dental expenses not covered by health insurance, tuition expenses at elementary or secondary schools, unusually high child care costs, death, divorce, and loss of employment. (If applicable)
