We're pretty sure we're going to catch a leprechaun!

Disability Acceptance Week (3/23 to 3/27) – Let’s Start Important Conversations!
Next week our school will participate in a Disability Acceptance Spirit Week. Each day highlights a different condition and encourages students to wear something special to help spark conversations about understanding, inclusion, and kindness.
These small activities give families a great opportunity to talk with their children about how people may learn, move, communicate, or experience the world differently—and how we can all support one another.

Please come to our spring choir concert on April 17th at 6pm. We hope to see you ,there!

The book fair 📚 opens tonight at the Taco Dinner 🌮 from 4-7pm and continues during Specials classes on 3/12 and 3/13. Set up your eWallet today! https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/bluffviewelementaryschool3

Ms. Church’s class dove into the world of sharks recently! 🦈 Students learned about sharks and the mighty Megalodon, even getting the chance to hold a real Megalodon tooth. They finished the activity by sculpting and painting their own Megalodon teeth out of clay. Such a fun day of hands-on learning!

The annual spring book fair and taco dinner will be Wednesday, March 11th from 4-7pm in the Bluffiview Cafeteria. Additionally, the book fair will be open during specials on Thursday the 12th and Friday the 13th!

First graders work to make 3D shapes in Mrs. Howell's class.

Next week (3/2-3/6) Bluffview will be celebrating Read Across America! 📚

It's time for the annual 5 Essentials Parent Survey! It takes about 15 minutes to complete this survey, once for each school that your child attends. This means that some of you may take the survey up to 3 times.
Tip: When you are asked for the county, spell-out "Saint Clair" and don't use abbreviations.
We promise to read all anonymous feedback, so please participate in the survey. This is very important for our district and to benefit the most from our state report card, we need at least 20% parent participation at each school.
Please complete as soon as possible. https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/?target_name=parent

February 2026

The reveal is here!!
While they did not turn out as vibrant as we wanted, our students were excited about their frozen orbs. The orbs are being displayed in the planters outside Bluffview's main doors.

With the cold weather moving in, students in Ms. Church and Mrs. Gischer's class finally have the chance to attempt the "frozen orb" craze seen on TikTok and YouTube. Students put food coloring and water in balloons and placed them outside. Our goal is to end up with the frozen colored orbs as seen in the last photo.

Ms. Church's student recently learned about artist Vincent Van Gogh and had fun creating their own art inspired by Van Gogh's famous painting "A Starry Night."

#Congratulations to our January 2026 Students of the Month! 🎉🤩👍 #education
