ACES (Read Tuesday 4/18) -
Congratulations to Connor Smitt and Chase Koppenhofer for places at the State ACES Academic Challenge yesterday at Eastern Illinois University. Connor received 5th place in Physics and Chase received 3rd place in Computer Science! Way to go!!
Community Awareness Day -
Community Awareness Day is this Saturday from 10:00-1:00 in the high school gym. We will have free food, games, and attendance prizes plus resources from local businesses and organizations. Talk to your English teachers about the extra credit you can earn for attending. This is open to the entire community, so bring your friends and family to have a good time!
Yearbooks(Only read on Mondays)- Students, yearbooks are on sale now. You can order them online (at DHS Yearbooks) or in Mr. Weier’s classroom (Room 230). They are $55 until May 1st. After May 1st, they increase to $60 each.
Blood Drive (Read through April 28th) Please sign up to donate at the April 28th blood drive by using the QR code on flyers. Students must be 16 years old and have a parent permission slip. This form can be found in the office. Students who are 17 or older do not need a permission slip.
HS Track: Boys and girls track had a great meet on Friday at Staunton with many PRs and medals. Our first place finishes include: girls 4x200 , made up of Tamoni Jordan, Ava Thompson, Kaylyn Woods, and Adrienne Latimer. Tamoni won the long jump and triple jump as well. Peter Taylor and Chris Sacayon both broke the 5:00 mark on their way to finishing 2nd and 3rd.
