Mr. Griffin’s 9th grade school orientation class recently visited the library to discover the wide range of resources available to support their learning and personal growth. During the visit, students were introduced to both physical and digital tools that will help them throughout high school and beyond.
Students learned how to order toolkits, check out books online, and access podcasts tailored to their interests. They also explored academic databases that provide credible information for research projects, as well as the Cloud Library, which offers a convenient way to access e-books and other digital materials anytime, anywhere.
The library staff, Mrs. Kloess and Mr. Treece, guided students through the different platforms and answered questions, ensuring each student left with a better understanding of how to use the library effectively. This hands-on experience encouraged students to take advantage of the variety of resources available to them, not only for class assignments but also for personal enrichment.
Mr. Griffin shared that introducing students to these resources early on helps set a foundation for strong study habits and lifelong learning. The 9th graders enjoyed exploring the tools and are now better prepared to make the most of the library throughout their high school journey.
