Please help us congratulate Ethan Nelson, our Career & Technical Education (CTE) Business Student of the Month! 🏆📊
Mr. Griffin started a brand new system for all of his business courses where each month, students are nominated by their peers for this recognition. To be eligible, nominees must consistently meet all classroom expectations, including arriving to class on time, demonstrating respectful behavior, following classroom and student handbook policies, turning in all assignments on time, maintaining a positive behavior/discipline record, and supporting both classmates and teachers. Final selection is determined by the teacher based on eligibility and overall performance after votes have been submitted.
Ethan was selected after receiving multiple peer nominations that highlighted his consistency and strong work ethic. Classmates noted that Ethan is always on time, completes and submits his work promptly, and is helpful and respectful toward others. These traits reflect the core expectations of the CTE Business program.
Beyond meeting the requirements, Ethan demonstrates leadership through his daily actions. He brings a positive attitude to the classroom, engages actively by asking questions for clarity, and leads by example. Ethan is also known for his kindness and generosity, noting himself that he is "da goat," but often sharing his morning snacks with classmates and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Mr. Griffin shared that Ethan’s positive demeanor and willingness to connect with others make him a role model, noting that Ethan greets staff and peers each day and contributes to a welcoming classroom culture.
As part of this recognition, Ethan received a gift certificate to Dairyland, provided by Mr. Griffin in support of local businesses that continue to support and strengthen our school community.
Congratulations to Ethan Nelson on being named CTE Business Student of the Month. We look forward to recognizing future nominees and encourage all students to continue showing up, working hard, and supporting one another. We cannot wait to see who earns next month’s recognition.
