DUPO, IL — Dupo Jr/Sr High School has officially announced its entry into the 2026 T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights competition, a nationwide initiative celebrating small-town high school football spirit while offering life-changing facility upgrades.
By participating, Dupo High School is in the running for up to $8.4 million in total prizes awarded across the country. Key opportunities include:
$5K Fridays Sweepstakes: 1,000 schools will win $5,000 cash prizes throughout the entry window.
Division Finalists: 40 schools will receive $25,000 for their athletic programs and host a T-Mobile-led Friday Night 5G Lights Celebration Event at a home game this October.
Division Champions: Four regional winners will receive $250,000 for their football programs, a Gronk Fitness weight room upgrade, and a $5,000 Student Spotlight Award scholarship.
Grand Prize: One winning high school will earn a $1 million home football field transformation and a 2027 tailgate unveiling celebration featuring celebrity supporters like Rob Gronkowski and Patrick Mahomes.
“Our community revolves around Friday night games, and our students give everything they have on and off the field,” said Keith Book, principal. “Winning a field makeover of this scale would bring incredible opportunity not just to our student-athletes, cheerleaders, and band members, but to the entire Dupo community.”
