Our Honors Biology II students recently had the incredible opportunity to attend Logan University’s Tour of the Body program.
During the visit, students explored several human organ systems in the university’s cadaver lab and even had the chance to hold and examine real organs while comparing healthy organs to those affected by disease. It was a unique hands-on experience that brought our anatomy studies to life.
Opportunities like this help our students see the real-world impact of what they’re learning in the classroom. We’re proud of how engaged and curious our students were throughout the experience, and we appreciate Logan University for hosting such an outstanding educational program.

March Mammal Madness continues to have some crazy twist, turns, and some upsets. It was a wild round with some extra mammals on the field in some matches. Our student who came from behind and currently in first place has guessed 20 out of 25 correct! Although the student right behind him has 19 so it is truly anyone's game!
Huge success at Dupo High School Career Day!
Last week, our halls were buzzing with inspiration and ambition! We were thrilled to host a Career Day for our students, providing them with a front-row seat to a world of future possibilities.
We were incredibly lucky to welcome over 25 professionals from a massive range of industries. From healthcare and high-tech to trades and public service, our guest speakers shared their journeys, their "day-in-the-life" stories, and invaluable advice on what it takes to succeed.
Why it Matters:
* Real-World Connections: Students got to ask the tough questions and see how their classroom lessons apply to the real world.
* Networking: Many of our students made their first professional connections right here on campus.
* Broadened Horizons: Exploring careers they might never have considered before!
A massive THANK YOU to the dedicated professionals who took time out of their busy schedules to invest in our Tigers. You’ve sparked some amazing conversations and helped our students start dreaming big about life after graduation. 🐯✨

March Mammal Madness released its next round which was the Library Legends! See the updated bracket below! Students are having a great time watching the play by plays and updating their points!
March Mammal Madness (MMM) had its first two rounds, The Wild Card and The Money Mammals. Attached find the updated bracket. We have one student in 1st place with 9 points which is the most you can have right now and a tie for second with 8 points! Its a close match this far and it shall be more interesting as the rounds go on. Library Legends round 1 is tomorrow!
The students in Mrs. Dougherty and Mr. Grapperhaus' classes are participating in Mammal March Madness through Arizona State University. Students researched the animals and made their choices on who will win each round all the way to the end. The students watch story like retellings of what could happen if these animals were to run into each other in real life that are backed by science based research. They come out at 8pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays so students get to receive the results the next day. Stay tuned for updates as the tournament goes on!
Dupo AFJROTC hosted a drill competition yesterday. The grand finale of the competition was Knockout/Elimination Drill. This drill tests cadets precision, attention to detail, and ability to follow verbal commands under pressure.
Sculpture class is excited to reveal the finished clay assignments. Enjoy the amazing work!
Our 8th grade ceramic bowl project was a huge success! Excited to see many of the creative students showing interest in HS ceramics course enrollment.

The statistics class sent out surveys to the school, and analyzed the data they found.
Results:
1) Girls at school are way more likely to choose fast food than the guys
2)People at school who listen to rock music are more likely to listen for extended periods of time
3) The boys at school prefer playstation, while most of girls either don't play video games, and if they do, it is on mobile devices.
Happy Valentine's Day from Mrs. Moravec's class! For Valentine's Day, we worked on Valentines for ourselves. These posters could have funny memories on them, affirmations, or other things they loved about themselves or that made them happy. The posters all turned out super cute!
