The Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and cadets at Dupo Community High School in Dupo, IL achieved an overall unit assessment score of "Exceeds Standards" — the highest rating possible — during their evaluation on January 26, 2024. Lt. Col. Thomas J. Luckritz and SMSgt. Bonnie J. Janas fostered a dynamic and supportive learning environment, alongside excellent community outreach efforts. The instructors demonstrated outstanding leadership in overseeing the cadet-centered citizenship program. The cadets of Dupo Community High School excelled and took great pride in meeting their unit goals. The Air Force Junior ROTC citizenship program at Dupo Community High School is making a positive impact on the cadets, the school, and the surrounding community.
Dupo School District 196 is seeking a High School Guidance Counselor to provide counseling services for students in grades 7-12. Strong emphasis on ability to advise for college entrance requirements and available funding. Working knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS), master scheduling, and state standardized assessments is required. Ability to aggregate data for longitudinal data analysis is an essential aspect of this position. Current Illinois Professional Educator License with secondary guidance/school counselor endorsement necessary. This is a 10 month per year position. Dupo CUSD 196 is an equal opportunity employer.
